Eugene F Seeley

Eugene “Gene” F. Seeley, 69, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born March 10, 1957, in Bristol, he was the son of the late Frederick and Jeanette Seeley.
Gene worked for more than 25 years as a skilled iron worker and welder, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic and craftsmanship.
Gene was a proud and devoted family man. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a passion for fishing, hunting, camping, and darts. In recent years, Gene developed a love for 8-
ball billiards. He proudly played out of the Slovak Catholic Sokol Club in Torrington as a member of Martin’s Misfits. One of his proudest experiences was traveling to Las Vegas in 2021 to compete in the 8-Ball World Pool Championship.
Gene is survived by his loving children, his daughter Kristie and her husband Martin Wilson of Torrington, and his son Mitchell Seeley of Bristol. He is also survived by his sisters, Cindy Falls
of Florida and Linda Diffin of Florida, his brothers, Fred Seeley and his wife Jen of Bristol, and Gary Seeley of Connecticut. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren; Brittany Lacasse and her husband Matt, Tyler Krampitz, Kimberly Parsons and her husband Jake, Matthew Wilson and his wife Gio, Lexi Boulanger, Christopher Wilson and his beloved great-grandchildren; Faith, Aaden, Julian, Sophie, and Savannah, along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Jeanette Seeley; his brother, Earl Seeley; and his beloved dog and best friend, Abby.
Gene’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Valerie Manor and Athena Hospice for the compassion and care they provided.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family.
