Eugene Harding Nov. 12, 1973 to January 29, 2026 Eugene “Gene” Harding Hr., passed away surrounded by family on 01/29/2026 at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT. Eugene was born to Eugene Leslie Harding Sr. and Joanne Mary Harding on November 12th, 1973 in Hartford, CT. He was the first of two sons. He was raised in Albion, ME on the family’s farm where he grew and thrived. He worked in and on the farm his whole childhood alongside his father and siblings and paternal grandparents. He learned young an amazing work ethic that he carried throughout his life. He moved to Connecticut in his early 20’s where he worked in construction. He was a member of the carpenter’s union where he worked, giving 1000% of himself to his work and crew. He was tough and strong and was very proud of this fact. Although he acted tough he had the biggest, softest heart, that loved deeply and completely. He was especially proud of his daughter Desirae and the woman she has become. His life may not have been long on this earth but it was full. Eugene is predeceased by his daughter Heather. He is survived by his daughter, Desirae, of Alabama, his parents Eugene Sr., and Joanne, brother Jeremiah and wife Sarah, sister Dawn Barnes and husband Ricky, sister, Eve O’Brien, uncles Sheldon and Neal Harding, all of Albion, ME, sister Stacey Shorey of Parkman, ME, Lance Bernard of Torrington, CT a brother not in blood but heart, Phyllis Bernard of Norfolk, CT, a mother away from home, aunt Athene of Belgrade, ME, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be missed by all those who loved him. Until we meet again, beloved son, brother, and friend!
