Elaine (Litwin) Josse

Elaine Josse (Litwin) passed away after a short illness on June 4, 2023 at the age of 80. She was born April 24th 1943 in Reno Nevada to Edward and Frances (Makohon) Litwin of Litchfield. The oldest of 6 siblings, she graduated from Litchfield High School in 1961 followed by the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1964. Her career as a Registered Nurse ranged from NYU Hospital, Australia, England and finally back to Connecticut where she retired from Valerie Manor in 2010. Elaine loved traveling, gardening, music, reading and her family.

She leaves behind brothers; Craig and Thom, sisters; Karen, Jeanne and Coreen as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held on Saturday July 15th 2023, 1pm at the Bantam Fire Company, 92 Doyle Rd. Bantam, CT 06750.
