Egidio James Recidivi

"Heartbreaking" seems to be the only word to announce the passing of Egidio James Recidivi, 81, of Torrington on October 17, 2024, in Naples Italy. He became ill while he and his wife were on a Mediterranean cruise. He was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Recidivi. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Zukowski) Recidivi for 53 years. Egidio was the brother of Marie Recidivi and the favorite brother-in-law to Jack and Beth Zukowski, Richard and Linda Zukowski, Mark Zukowski, Diane LaGamba, and Diane Zukowski. He was uncle to Karrie Vogel and the adopted uncle to the Frasca family and Jason Mancino. He leaves many cousins and friends.

Egidio loved his life's work as a mason starting with local contractors, especially Blakeslee Construction, and spending the last 25 years with O&G while a member of BAC Union Local #1. He was a member of Elks Lodge #372, Germania, as well as the Brick Collectors Society. He was an avid Mickey Mouse collector, and brick collector. He loved to dance with his wife, enjoyed traveling, and was always eager for an adventure. Egidio was always ready to offer a helping hand, have a good conversation, or get ready for a family gathering. To know him was to love him.

Egidio's Funeral will be on Saturday November 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Saint Maron's Church, 613 Main St, Torrington, and burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, 76 Walnut St. Calling  hours will be held Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, at Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave., Torrington.
