Edward Machuga, 75, of Torrington, CT, passed away Tuesday, December 31st, at home. He was the husband of Eileen (Leonard) Machuga
Edward was born in Torrington, CT on June 3, 1944, a son of the late Ann (Bielik) and Anthony Machuga. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War.
He was employed by the Torrington Company for over 20 years and later was a partner at BMB Contracting Co.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed cooking, and most of all enjoyed his family and spending time at Cape Cod.
In addition to his wife he leaves sons Edward Scott Machuga and his wife Amanda, and Mark Machuga and wife Kelly, and a daughter Dawn Colangelo and husband Michael, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He also leaves his sister in law MaryAnn Bolich and was predeceased by his brother Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 6th at Saint Francis Church in Torrington, Friends may call prior to the Mass 9:00: to 10:30 on Monday, at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
