Edward Bosio, Jr Obituary

Edward L Bosio Jr, 90, of Torrington passed away July 31, 2024, with his family by his side. He was husband to his late wife of 67 years, Arlene, who passed in April of this year.  He was born in  Torrington on May 17, 1934, son of the late Edward and Mary (Yurchick) Bosio. He was a proud army Veteran and owned Ed's Auto Parts in Canaan for 60 years. He was extremely proud of the business he built with his family, now run by his sons.  He deeply loved his wife, children, family and his many friends. He enjoyed many winters at his home in Florida with Arlene and they spent many weekends traveling to polka dances. they were always together.

He leaves a daughter, Debra Skibisky and husband Joseph, sons Edward Bosio III and wife Laura, David Bosio, and Jeffrey Bosio, grandchildren Jennifer (fiancé Randy), Matthew (Morgan) Ashley (fiancé Isaac), Ann, Calli, Brandt, Tori, Evan, Jake, and Eli, and great-grandchildren Rhyder and Delilah. He also leaves his sister-in-law  Dolores Trapp and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sisters Rose Hart (Carl) and Jean Lovallo (William). The family wishes to thank the wonderful team of Doctors and Nurses at Hartford Hospital for their great care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart Church Our Lady of Hope Parish in Harwinton on Friday Aug. 9 at 11 AM with burial following at Saint Peter Cemetery. www.phalenfuneral.com
