Dorothy B (Kozlak) Pukas

 Dorothy B Pukas, 95, of  Torrington, CT, passed away Thursday, October 7th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Pukas.

Dorothy was born in Torrington, CT on February 7, 1926, a daughter of the late Mary (Zamkovsky) and John  Kozlak,  and was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and Torrington High.
She had been employed by The Torrington Company and also had worked in the cafeteria at Vogel-Wetmore School for over 18 years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Chuch and their Altar Society, Slovak Catholic Sokol, Council of Catholic Women,  Angels of Hospitality,  Harwinton Leisure Club,  Sullivan Senior center,  and a volunteer at The Warner Theater.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Rovero and husband Michael,  grandsons David Rovero and wife Kristy,  and Timothy Rovero and wife Kristine,  great grandchildren Kirsten and Tyler Rovero and Owen and Kurtis Wilson. She was predeceased by sisters Ann Lenart, Kay Sohocki, Helen Rulli,  Mary Brady ,and Margaret Rosati, and a brother PFC  George A Kozlak killed in Italy in WWII.

Funeral Service will be held at Saint Peter Church in Torrington, on Wednesday Oct. 13 at 11 AM.  Burial will follow at new Saint Francis Cemetery.  Friends may call prior to the Mass from 9:30-10:30 at Phalen Funeral Home.  Memorial Contributions can be made tro Lourde's Shrine in Litchfield or Graymore Friars Garrison NY.  www.phalenfuneral.com
