Donna J. Bruno passed away peacefully on July 16th at Hartford Hospital, she was 71 years old. A life-long resident of Torrington, she is survived by the love of her life, Donald G. Bruno of 50 years, her son David S. Bruno and granddaughter Hannah Bruno of Enfield, her brother, John C. Farley and wife Christine of Portsmouth, RI and nephews Matthew and Zachary.
She is predeceased by her father David Stewart, mother Dorothy Farley, stepfather Edward Farley, and sister Diane Stewart.
Donna graduated from Torrington High School and attended the Torrington Beauty Academy and worked numerous years as a hair dresser first at the Golden Coiffeurs and later at Alice’s Hair Design.
She was an avid and accomplished quilter and weaver, donating much of her time and crafts to charity and church events and was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church.
Donna loved trips to the beach and spending time at her pool. She loved taking rides with Don in the Model A Ford. Donna enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas and dinners with her family.
Funeral Services will be held Friday July 22 at 11 AM at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church. Friends may call at Church prior to the service from 10-11 AM. www.phalenfuneral.com
