Dolores Mary (Lemelin) Carpenter

Dolores Mary (Lemelin) Carpenter (80) of Torrington passed away on December 11, 2021,  at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  Dolores was born in Winchester on December 29, 1940.  She was the daughter of Elzear and Aurore Lemelin and the wife of the late Elvin Carpenter.  Dolores was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Godenzi, her husband Elvin and by her children Joyce, David and Dale. She is survived by daughter Barbara, son Elvin, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a niece and nephews.  She enjoyed leisurely car rides, visits with family and friends and, most of all, her Dunkin Donuts coffee.  She showed tremendous strength through the devastating losses of three of her children.  Dolores was feisty, set in her ways and sometimes curmudgeonly but always a loving and supportive mother.  She will be greatly missed.  In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services or gatherings at this time.  Her family would like to thank Charlotte Hungerford Hospital doctors, nurses and hospice staff for the compassionate care she received.  www.phalenfuneral.com
