On September 13, 2023 , Dennis M Smith passed to be with his God, following a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Bonuomo Smith. Dennis was born April 2, 1947, in New Britain, CT, the son of the late Herbert H. Smith and Phyllis M, Smith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Shirley Dimock, a nephew, two nieces and a grandniece.
Dennis served with the US Navy as a radioman from 1964 to 19984. After serving he enrolled in Crafton College, Redlands, CA. He worked for the defense industry for many years. He was an avid golfer, an enthusiastic Harley rider a member AARL, as well as the Elks and VFW. A Memorial Service will be held Friday Oct 13 at 11 AM at Center Congregational Church in Torrington. www.phalenfuneral.com
