Dennis Casson

Dennis "Poppy" Casson, 76, of Bristol, passed away June 16, 2026, at Bristol Hospital.  Born in Torrington Nov. 29, 1949, son of the late James and Pearl Weingart Casson, he was retired from Cocchiola Paving Company. He was an avid Harley rider and enjoyed Hot Rods and long road trips.

He leaves a daughter, Gina and husband Glen Papaioannou and their children, Gavin and Abigail, brothers James Casson and Francis Casson and wife Jackline, and sister in law Carolyn Casson. He was predeceased by a sister Janet Casson and brothers Terrence and Gerald Casson.

The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, June 24 from 9:30-10:45 AM at Phalen Funeral home in Torrington. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.  www.phalenfuneral.com
