David J Knotowicz

David John Knotowicz passed from this life into eternal life on December 18, 2021 with his daughter and brother at his side. He was born on March 4,1952 in Hartford and was a lifelong Torrington resident. He was predeceased by his dear son, Christopher, his mother, Theresa and father, Aloysius. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Taylor, the love and joy of his life and his loving son, Travis. He also leaves his brother, Gary, sister-in-law, Laurie, cousins, and many nieces and nephews, very close friends, and Lola, his faithful little dog and companion. Dave graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a B.S. in Economics. He acquired the family business, the Gold Bar Restaurant which he ran for several years. He later became Permittee of the local Foresters of America and helped to run the club up until his passing. He was very well-liked among many especially with his close-knit group of friends, who have always been there for Dave and have helped him in so many ways. The family is truly grateful to all of them. A brief graveside service will be held for any who would like to attend at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St. in New Britain on Wednesday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. The Phalen Funeral Home has taken care of these arrangements. The Foresters of America 139 Chestnut Ave. in Torrington will hold a gathering in Dave's honor on Friday, January 14 at 1:00 p.m .
