David C Florian

David C. (Lucas, Jr.) Florian, 63, of Torrington, passed away on February 11, 2024. He was the loving husband of Hanna (Nowakowski) Florian. David was born in La Mesa, CA to David C. Lucas and the late Gertrude "Trudi" (Fletcher, Lucas) Florian. Before settling in Connecticut, he lived in California, Wisconsin, and Nevada. He was a Fire/Rescue Volunteer in Death Valley, CA, and continued pursuing EMT certification in Connecticut. Throughout his life, he worked various manufacturing jobs. From a young age, he loved to take things apart to see how they worked and was
great at building and fixing things. David enjoyed anything with speed: cars, snowmobiles, and boats.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, David C. Lucas of Las Vegas, NV; Stepfather: James Florian and wife Pam of Wisconsin; Sisters: Lynne (James) Maas of Sheboygan, WI, Kim (Florian) Lucas of Tucson, AZ, and Karin (Florian) Mills of Sheboygan Falls, WI; Daughters: Nicole Clinge and Malia (Casey) Camden of Sheboygan, WI; Grandchildren: Calliope Clinge, Wil and Mason Camden. Stepdaughters: Ella Boulli and husband Rich, Diana Mazzacane and husband Jonah, and Tania Chrzanowski; Step grandchildren: Amelia, Lilah, Samuel, Gabriel, and Avery. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
