Darlene Ann Roulin

On Monday, October 25,  2021, Darlene Ann Roulin, loving sister, and mother of one son, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58.  Darlene was born October 19, 1963 in Torrington,  daughter of the late Raymond and Beverly Roulin.  She was a graduate of Torrington High School in 1981 and worked in accounting for an assisted living center prior to co-owning Tony's Drive-in Package Store.  On February 9, 1990, she gave birth to her only son,  Derek Larmett Jr,  whom she loved and cherished.
Darlene was passionate about many things including spending time with her family and friends,  riding her Harley Davidson,  and vacationing.  She would ride her motorcycle through the hills of northwest Connecticut and often stop at Lourdes Shrine in Litchfield for prayer and relaxation.  She was known fro her quick wit,  infectious smile,  and her kind and compassionate spirit for others.  
She is survived by her son,  Derek Larmett Jr., her brother Raymond Roulin Jr., and her sister Laurie Zordan,  several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews,  and had a caring relationship with her former husband Derek Larmett Sr. and his girlfriend Alice Proulx.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday Nov. 3, at 11 AM at Saint Francis Church in Torrington.(Masks are required).  Burial will follow at Saint Peter Cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday 5-7 PM at Phalen Funeral Home.  In Lieu of flowers,  memorial contributions can be made in Darlene's memory to the Alzheimers Foundation or to Saint Jude's Childrens' Hospital 501 St Jude Pl Memphis TN 38105.  www.phalenfuneral.com
