Carol (Almstedt) Silvernale

Carol (Almstedt) Silvernale, 91, of Harwinton passed away February 27, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Richard Silvernale of 62 years. She was born January 3, 1934 in Torrington to the late August and Violet (Hoffman) Almstedt. She attended Torrington Public Schools and worked at the American Brass Company. Carol was an avid UCONN Basketball fan and held season tickets to the Hartford Whalers for many years. Her pride and joy were here four grandchildren and was their biggest Supporter in all of their activities.

Carol is survived by daughters Karen St. Pierre and her husband John and Kristine Soltis and her husband Christopher, her cherished grandchildren Justin St. Pierre and wife Tiffany, Ashley St. Pierre, Amanda Soltis, and Jarrett Soltis. She is also survived by nieces Katherine Seger and Mary Case and nephew Mark Farmer. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son Keith Silvernale and sisters Ruth Farmer, Betty Stedman, Katherine Almstedt and Shirley Phillips.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday March 6 at 11 AM at Phalen Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service from 10-11 AM www.phalenfuneral.com
