Carol A Balzarin

Carol Balzarin, 74, of Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully, on May 20th, 2023 after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis.

Carol was born on February 22nd, 1949 to Marco and Caroline “Dolly” Balzarin in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from high school, she began a career as a telephone operator for SNET for many years until retirement. Carol truly enjoyed going to the casinos with her sister and sister-in-law. She was always surrounded by family.  

Carol was predeceased by her parents, her sister Irene Pasko, brother Marco Balzarin, and cousin Nicholas Farina. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Beverly, her nephew John Pasko and his two children Jonathan and Abagael, cousin Anthony Farina, along with extended family and friends. 

Her family would like to extend an extra special thank you to the nurses and staff at Valorie Manor Nursing Home for their years of care. 

Calling hours will be held at Phalen Funeral Home, Torrington, CT on Wednesday, June 7th at 5-7pm followed by a short service at 7pm.
