Bruno Sestito

 Bruno Sestito, 77, of Torrington, CT passed away Saturday, April 11th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  He was the husband of 57 years of Antoinetta Cristiano Sestito

Bruno was born in Catanzaro, Italy on June 18, 1942, a son of the late Giuseppina  and Salvatore  Sestito.  He came to the Torrington in area in 1962. He worked as a mechanic at Marola Motors Torrington prior to his retirement.  He was smart, talented, witty, and funny and hard working and his main concern was the care of his family,  always making sure they were cared for.
In additon to his devoted wife and caregiver,  Antoinetta,  he leaves two sons, Antonio Sestito with Millie Munoz of Torrington and Salvatore Sestito and wife Elaine of Frederica Delaware and a daughter Josephine Sestito Hancock and husband Michael of Torrington,  9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  He also leaves a brother Nazio Sestito of Italy and inlaws Catarina Madia of Torrington, Maria DeFazio of Italy, Rosario Cristiano of Torrington, Francesco Cristiano of Delaware, and Carmela Sanzo of Torrington.  He was predeceased by sister in law Teresa Canino.
A Memorial Mass at Saint Francis Church  will be held  April 11 2021 at 10 AM.  Graveside Prayers will follow at New Saint Francis Cemetery, with a Life Celebration reception to follow at Crystal Peak 164 Torrington Rd , Winsted. on line memorials www.phalenfuneral.com
