Obituary



Brian Bodnar, 50, of Torrington passed away early June 6th after a long battle with brain cancer.  Born in Torrington June 29, 1970 son of Jerry and Joyce Maville Bodnar, of Torrington he was a graduate of OWTS Class of 1988 and was a graphic artist for the sign industry. He is known for his strength and will to fight through anything that came his way. His loving heart touched so many people’s lives, his memory and kindness to others will live on forever.
His love of Motley Crue, sports and swimming at the pool was known by all. 
In 2004 and for many years attended with the team “motley cruisers” at the Relay for Life to help raise money to contribute to find the cure for cancer. 

He leaves  his high school sweetheart Lisa of 27 yrs also his beloved daughter Breanna Rocheleau and husband Tyler of East Hartland,  a sister Denise Mottai and husband Mark of Torrington,   brothers Jerry Bodnar Jr and wife Darlene of North Carolina, Mitchell Bodnar and wife Debbie,  and Scott Bodnar,   as well as sister in law Dorian Wityak,  all of Torrington.  He also leaves aunts Lorrie Abbott and Janet Julian and several cousins, nieces and nephews.  and his beloved dog Louie.
The family would like to thank and extend their gratitude to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Litchfield County and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church family and friends.
