Barbara A. Rivers, 88, of Torrington passed away Friday, November 4th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Rivers.

Barbara was born in Torrington, CT on September 16, 1934, a daughter of the late Louise (Coultri) and Albert Fabbri. She was employed as a Nurse at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for many years. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her daughter JoAnn Abeling and husband Keith and son Robert and Caroline Rivers, grandchildren Robert Rivers Jr and wife Caroline, Scott Abeling and wife Casandra, Jennifer Godoi and husband Diogo,Alicia DaPonte with Jermy Hotchkiss, and Christian LeClair great grandchilddren Maverick Abeling ,Kendhyall Abeling, Gabrielle Abeling and fiance Anton Dziedzic, Louisa Godoi , and Ava DaPonte, great great granddaughter Juliette Abeling

She also leaves her sister Marie Paganini. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Lisa LeClair, son Raymond C. Rivers, grandson Michael Miasek, brother in law Frank Paganini and nephew Richard Paganini.
