Audrey (Hoencke) Cunningham

Audrey Cunningham, 85, of Goshen passed away on May 19, 2024. She was the wife of the late Gerard Cunningham. Born in New York, on December 22, 1938, she was the youngest child of the late Harry and Lillian Marecek Hoencke. She spent the first part of her career in New York Public Schools and transitioned to St. Anthony School in Silver Lake NY.  Later she retired to a home on Tyler Lake in Goshen CT with her husband. She became involved with the St. Bridget Church St. Kateri Parish in Cornwall Bridge and served on their Hospitality Committee. She and her husband traveled the US in their RV before relocating to Torrington for the rest of her life. 

She is survived by her children, William Cunningham of Newtown and Anne Craig and husband Robert and their children Hannah Craig and James Craig of Goshen.

Funeral Services will be held Friday May 24th at 11 AM at St. Bridget Church in Cornwall Bridge. Burial will follow at St. Bridget Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 PM at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington.
