Audrey W. Bartholomew, beloved widow of Samuel J. Bartholomew, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to family and faith. She was the cherished mother of Cheryl Bartholomew-Miller and Lindy Wilkinson, mother-in-law to Steven Miller and Jeff Wilkinson, and loving grandmother to Stephanie Dalleo and Arielle Miller. Audrey was also a proud great-grandmother to Joseph Samuel Dalleo.
Audrey lived a full and meaningful life, dedicated to raising her family and serving her community. She spent many years involved in her churches, where she especially enjoyed volunteering as a church librarian. Her faith and service touched many lives.
One of her great passions was animals. Together with her dear friend Barbara Dillie, Audrey helped establish and train at the White Plains School of Animal Training, sharing her love for animals with others and enriching the lives of many pets and owners.
After retiring, Audrey and her husband, Samuel moved to Beekman in Dutchess County, where they embraced a peaceful life in the country. They enjoyed their small house and farm, surrounded by family and their beloved horses. Audrey and Samuel were blessed to reside in their home for their later years, finding joy in the quiet beauty of their land and the closeness of their family.
A quiet graveside gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, July 14th at 11:00 AM at Goshen Center Cemetery in Goshen, Connecticut.
In lieu of flowers, details may be found at Phalen Funeral Home, Torrington, Connecticut.
