Alfred Charles Clark, 79, of Torrington passed away Tuesday, August 16th, at Amberwoods, Farmington. He was the husband of Ann Blazek Clark.
Alfred was born in Torrington, on October 27, 1942, a son of the late Gertrude (Paynter) and Alfred Chauncey Clark., and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He Printer at Baltimore and Federal Business Products in Winsted. An avid duckpin bowler, he was the mechanic for Torrington Elks Bowling Leagues for many years. He was a member of several area billiards teams and enjoyed golf, camping and painting, and vacations in Maine.
In addition to his wife, he leaves sons Scott and wife Becky, and Kevin. He also leaves stepsons Robert Caton and Christopher Caton and wife Christen, as well as 6 grandchildren. Also surviving are sister Elaine Burdick and brother Thomas Clark and wife Susan and was predeceased by a sister Roberta Moran.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Sept. 11 at 3 PM at Word of Life Family Church 393 (meeting at St. George Episcopal Church) 393 Tucker Hill Rd Middlebury CT 06762. A reception will follow at Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to "Building Fund" Word of Life Family Church PO Box 77 Plantsville CT 06479.
