Wayne A Willis, 58, of Torrington, entered into the gates of Heaven unexpectedly Sunday, January 20th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Anna Rapsilber Willis.
Wayne was born in Torrington, on September 30, 1960, a son of Cynthia (Belding) Willis, of Bantam CT and the late Leonard H Willis. A graduate of Wamogo High he was a heavy equipment and crane operator for O&G Industries for over 28 years, and later for Norwalk Marine. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, and was involved with NHRA drag racing. He had also owned his own trucking company and enjoyed motorcycles. A devoted husband and father, in addition to his wife and mother he leaves his sons, Jesse Willis and fiance Melissa Cilbrith, and Taylor Willis and fiance Andrea Cote. He also leaves a brother Leonard Willis and life partner Lesley Owens of Warren and sister Bonnie Cable and husband Bruce of Morris, and an uncle Arnold Willis of Bantam as well as a niece and several nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Terry and Glen Willis.
