Virginia (Cattey) Dickinson

Virginia Dickinson, 79, of Torrington, CT, passed away Sunday, August 27th, at Wolcott Hall. She was the wife of the late Henry Dickinson Jr.

Virginia was born in Torrington, CT on January 24, 1938, a of the late Rose (Basso) and Joseph Cattey. She was employed as a CNA at several local nursing homes. She was a life long Communicant of Saint Francis Church and enjoyed sewing and knitting and spending time with her children and grandchildren

Virginia is survived by a daughter, Rose Bristol and husband Steven, sons Walter Dickinson and wife Christine and their children Adam and Mihaila; and John Dickinson and his fiance and his children Colin, Kayleigh, and Braden, and was predeceased by son Henry Dickinson III and leaves his daughter Angel Dickinson.

She also is survived by great grandchildren Brooklyn Dickinson and Merritt Dickinson-Rice and a brother Anthony Cattey and was predeceased by brother Joseph Cattey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 31st at Saint Francis Church in Torrington. Burial will follow at Saint Peter Cemetery.
