Vernon E Deane, Jr, 73, of Winsted, CT, passed away Wednesday, October 3rd, at Valerie Manor, Torrington.

Vernon was born in Winsted, CT on June 28, 1945, a son of the late Evelyn (Werner) and Vernon Deane Sr. He was retired from Winchester Public Works. He leaves a son Lawrence Deane of New Haven and daughter Valerie Tullock and husband Rich of Torrington. He also leaves brothers Thomas and wife Gloria, Michael and wife Cheryl, and Stephen of Winsted, Walter of Canaan and David and wife Barbara of Ontario CA, and sisters Brenda and husband Kenneth and Kimberly Puhalski and husband Jon of Winsted, Lori Deane of New Hartford, Barbara Schutt and husband Karl and Evelyn Heller of Torrington, Linda Wandall and husband Bill of Canaan, Patricia Hervieux of Sheffield Ma and Sandi Ransom of Otis MA. He also leaves grandchildren Amber, Brooke and Brittany and dear friends Cindy, Glen, Larry, and Sue. He was predeceased by brothers Kenneth, Reginald, and Alfred and a sister Claire O'Handley.
