Velma Corey Obituary

Ms. Velma L. Corey, 85, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 18, at Waterbury Hospita, Waterbury. Velma was born January 4, 1936 in Shell City, MO, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Georgia (Smith) Amick. Velma lived in Torrington and was retired having worked for many area businesses. She is survived by her children, Edward L. Corey of Torrington, Richard Corey of Torrington, Mary Lisa Lussier of NY, Michelle Corey of Torrington and Jill Corey of Torrington; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as her best friend Lori Hewitt of Torrington. She was predeceased by her former husband Edward E. Corey of Thomaston, son Jeffrey Corey of NH, daughter, Tammi Corey of Torrington, brother Bill Amick and sister Bonnie Harms of MO.
