Susan J (Swazey) Begey

 Susan J Begey, 82, of Torrington, passed away Wednesday, November 27th, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of Robert J. Begey,

Susan was born in Watersbury, CT on September 19, 1937, a daughter of the late Adele (Vaitekaitis) and Frank  Swazey.
She had been employed by Waterbury National Bank and had worked for Star's Department Store,  A&P Grocery Store,  and East School Caferteria.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and her pets as well as the many summer vacations at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire.
In addition to her husband she leaves four sons,  Robert S.and ,wife Christine of Harwinton,  Richard and wife Sherry of Torrington, Gary and wife Nancy of Torrington,  and David and wife Anne of New Jersey,  grandchildren Jillian Griffin and husband Mike,  Ryan Begey and wife Steph,  Scott Begey, Kyle Begey and wife Kathleen, Seth Begey and  fiance Julie, Eric Begey and wife Danielle, Lauren Begey and  Andrew, Kevin Begey and Sarah and Siyana and Emma Begey,  great grandchildren Arianna, Gianna,  and Cecilia Begey and Liam Griffin.  She is also survived by a sister Elaine Fitzgerald of Waterbury,  and beloved dog Amber.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 2nd at Immaculate Heart Church of Our lady of Hope Parish in Harwinton.  Burial will follow at new Saint Francis Cemetery.  Friends may call at Church prior to the Mass from
 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday.
