Sean Tyler Lafferty, 26, of Harwinton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 2nd.  He was born on June 13, 1990 in Torrington, CT.  He is the beloved son of Brent M. Lafferty and Kathy (Shafer) Lafferty of Harwinton.  Besides his parents, he is survived and cherished by his brother, Brent E. Lafferty, his wife, Taylor Lafferty, nephew Rhys, and nieces Avery and Savannah Lafferty all of Harwinton.  He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Germaine Shafer of Harwinton and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Leo and Dorothy Lafferty and maternal grandfathers Ronald LeBlanc and David Shafer. Sean was a life long resident of Harwinton and Torrington.  He was a 2008 graduate of Lewis S. Mills High School in Burlington. He worked alongside his brother at the family business, Lafferty Enterprises Inc.  Sean was an extremely avid and talented motocross racer.  He was a member of the New England Motocross Assoc. and won many titles and sponsorships.  He was a thrill to watch.  He spent his last months speaking at events and helping others who were troubled and in need.  He was a comfort and a friend to many.  Sean loved the outdoors and the wind in his face.  He enjoyed building and rebuilding his dirt bikes and relished going from race to race, sleeping alongside his bike whether in a truck, motor home, or his custom made bus.  He was an animal lover and fun uncle.  He loved music, tattoos, and hanging with his friends, many of whom adored him and will miss him greatly.  Sean was truly one of a kind.  He was eager to make people happy and wanted to love and to be loved.  He loved his family and friends and we all loved him back.  He will be missed greatly and we know he is racing on, wind in his face.
