Richard K Wilcox, 83, of Bantam, CT, passed away, August 19th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital
Richard was born on September 17, 1935, a son of the late Erna (Kraig) and John J Wilcox. He grew up in the Milton section of Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High Class of 1954. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force at the end of the Korean War. He was always proud of being a crew chief on one of the earliest C-130 Aircraft. In the early 60's, he started his first company, RK Wilcox General Contractor. In the 80's he moved to Stephenville TX and started RK Wilcox Dairy Lot Cleaning, until he retired. He moved back to Milton in 2010. He is survived by a sister, Claudia Wilcox Palmer of Litchfield and brothers Harold and Jack Wilcox of Torrington as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Janice Wilcox Jolicouer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 AM at the Milton Congregational Church ,Litchfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Milton Congregational Church 548 Milton Rd Litchfield CT 06759.
