Olga Magyar, 93, of Torrington, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, December 5th, at Regal Health Center. She was the wife of the late Ernest Paul Magyar.
Olga was born in Dickson City, PA on February 3, 1925, a daughter of the late Catherine (Okolovitch) and Michael Wanas.
She is survived by a son, Mark Magyar of Hercules CA, and a daughter Karen Witkowski and husband Arthur of Goshen, grandchildren Christopher and wife Bonnie Witkowski of Alberta Canada, and Liz and husband Colin Graham of Bristol. She also leaves great grandchildren Daniel and Isaac Witkowski and Finnegan and Pearl Graham.
Also surviving are brothers Joseph Wanas of Stratford and Alexander Wanas of PA. and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers William, John, Paul, Michael, and Walter and sisters Anna Roman, Mary Kotch, Helen Shurminsky, Julie Bakos, and Antonia Raguskas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 12th at Saint Thomas Church in Goshen, CT. Friends may call prior to the Mass from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 12th at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, CT
