Kenneth G Richardson

 Kenneth G Richardson, 71, of  Torrington, CT, passed away  Monday, June 17th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  He was the husband of Janet Seaman Richardson.

Kenneth was born in Torrington, CT on August 14, 1947, a son of the late Olive (Hewitt) and Clarence  Richardson.  He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Torrington Fire Department for 25 years,  serving as a Captain for many years and retiring as Deputy Chief.  Kenny loved his farm, his family and his cows, and was dedicated to his fellow fireman.
In addition to his wife,  he leaves his son Kenneth Richardson Jr,  and daughter Jennifer Roberts and husband Jan.  He also leaves seven grandchildren,  Jade McKinney, Jonathan, Kenneth III, Patrick, Aliana, Donovan, and Landan Richardson.

Also surviving are sisters Margaret Beary, Norah Hodge and husband Lee, and Mavis Kula and husband Greg,  and a brother Gerald Richardson and wife Sharon.  He was predeceased by a brother Clarence "Doug" Richardson and sisters Laurie Lane and Eileen Bartram.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 22nd at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, CT with Chaplain Chip Werner officiating.

Friends may call  5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 21st at the Funeral Home.
