Kathryn was born in Torrington, CT on January 23, 1961, a daughter of the late Helen (Bullwitt) and Raymond W Abeling. and had been employed as a cook.

She leaves a daughter Susan of Islip NY and a brother Raymond Abeling of Torrington and sister Cindy Safco of Washington State, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Candace and brother William
