My dearest best friend Katie Abeling there isn't enough room on this page to discribe how you affected my life. When we met in high school I knew you were a very special young lady. We had an instant bond. You were the most generous, fun loving, compassionate woman I will ever have in my life. As sick as you were for so many yrs you still managed keep your sense of humor, maintain your independence and refuse help from others meanwhile still helping many people yourself along the way. "Amazing " Watching you my dear Kathryn, such a beautiful vibrant woman fall weak and helpless virtually ripped my heart out. I know deep in my heart that they'll never be another Katie Abeling in my lifetime. You fought right to the end and certainly "did it your way". Although I will miss you with all my heart and soul it was your time to enter eternal life and join your family that you loved and adored so very much.
I will never forget you and will always be proud, grateful and blessed that you entered my life and the life's of many others
I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER
YOUR BEST FRIEND LIZ CARBONE

Those who truly knew Katie knew she had many struggles in life but had a heart of gold. She would give the shirt off her back, even if she needed it most. You never went home empty handed. She always had a plate of manicotti, stuffed shells, etc. Even when she was going through chemo and weak, she made my grandmother a stuffed shrimp dinner because she was in the hospital and wouldn't eat the food there. Watching her suffer the last decade were some of the hardest days of my life. She was a true warrior, the strength she showed throughout her battles was amazing. She is someone that will always hold a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten. Until we see again, make sure you and dad greet me with open arms. Your in good hands now. Give Grampa a hug too. Love you tons, Erica. RIP Auntie

Katie, my old friend,
I know Helen was there to greet you with open arms. I will never forget our crazy times, our adventures to RI after work as our Mom's would protest lol. Helen filling the cooler for us, my Mom telling us to be careful.. Life was freer back then. You always had that huge smile with your crass attitude how we laughed. All our girlish talks your heartaches and mine we shared it all. My prayer for you is you finally are at peace, I know how hard this life was on you, I Love ya Kate and I will forever carry you in my heart like I have always. Be free my dear friend I will miss you💐
