Joyce (Richard) Devaux

Joyce Devaux, 81, of Torrington, CT passed away Monday, September 10th, at Hartford Hospital.

Joyce was born in Torrington, CT on April 19, 1937, a daughter of the late Mildred and William Richard. She had worked as an inspector for The Torrington Company and was a long time member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

She is survived her her daughter, Darlene Novakowski and husband Jon of Prospect , and grandchildren Gary and wife Sarah Novakowski and their son Carson; and Paul and wife Lisa Novakowski and their daughter Cora Lyn. She also leaves her companion of 32 years Joe Piekos and sisters Frances Tedesco of Harwinton and Jane Litke of FL. She was predeceased by her son Charles Devaux.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at West Cemetery in Harwinton. Memorial Contributions can be made to The Heart Association. www.phalenfuneral.com
