John Joseph Coleman (Jack), 92, a 57 year resident of Harwinton, CT., reunited with his beloved wife, Jane who preceded him in death, August 24, 2018. Born August 13, 1926, in Winsted, CT, to John J. Coleman and Lillian (St.Clair) Coleman, is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Andrew of Clinton, Son, Michael & Chery Coleman, of Harwinton; Daughter, Hope & Jon Denekamp of Wrentham, Mass., other family and many friends. A World War ll Veteran who joined the Navy at age 17, with his Grandmother’s consent, defended a Liberty ship under attack as a main gunner. He was a "jack of all trades":, racecar driver, manufacturer, and antique collector. Jack was an entrepreneur, who owned a nursery, restaurant, and bar. He was devoted to long-term friendships and was, loved by everyone he met. A joint service for Jack and Jane will be held at, Immaculate Heart of Mary, 78 Litchfield Rd, Harwinton, CT., with military honors, Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 11 am.
