Jean Margarite (Lewandowski) Columbia

JEAN MARGARITE LEWANDOWSKI COLUMBIA 06/24/27 – 09/27/18 Jean M. Columbia of Torrington, Ct. went home to heaven on September 27, 2018. She was married to the late Alfred “Red” Columbia. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Church and sang in the Church Choir for a number of years. She was the Owner/Operator of Ann’s Package Store on North Elm St. for several years prior to its’ closing. She is survived by her loving son, Alfred (Kathryn) Columbia Sr., her grandchildren, Alfred (Kathleen) Columbia Jr., Jennifer Columbia (Michael) Kenney, Zachary Bell, Jacob and Ashley Jensen and her great-grandchildren Miranda Columbia and Jillian Kenney. She was predeceased by her siblings, Chester Lewandowski, Stephen Lewandowski, Bernice Lewandowski Guirard, Sophie Lewandowski, Hedwig Relva Brandmeyer, Louis Lewandowski, Mary Lewandowski Binette Gnazzo and Helen Lewandowski Bennett. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews that loved and cherished their Aunt Jean. This world was a better place with my sweet mother who lit up the room with her blue twinkling eyes, kind smile and loving heart. She will be missed by all. Visitation will be held at Phalen’s Funeral Home on Migeon Avenue in Torrington from 5PM to 7PM on Friday, October 5, 2018. Services will be held at St Francis of Assisi on Main Street in Torrington, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10AM immediately followed by the burial at Hillside Cemetery. .
