James F Montefeltri

James Frederick Montefeltri, 79, of Torrington, CT passed away Tuesday, May 8th, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of 51 years to Janice Milanese Montefeltri.
James was born in Torrington, CT on January 30, 1939, a son of the late Margaret (Bonetti) and James Montefeltri, and was a graduate of Oliver Wolcott Tech. He served in the US National Guard. A skilled carpenter, he had worked for P&O Lumber Company, Custom Kitchens, and Ducci Kitchen and Bath.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carla Montefeltri Griffin and husbsand Timothy of Scarborough ME and their daughters Emily and Chloe; Regina Montefeltri, of Scarborough ME and children Grace and Miles Koeferl; and son, James B. Montefeltri, of Litchfield and his daughter Logan. He also leaves three sisters, Eleanor Bourque, twin sister Janet Thacker and Katherine Garfield, and was predeceased by sister Elsie Perticone.
James was a skilled craftsman who left a legacy of the fruits of his labor to many friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 12th at Saint Peter Church in Torrington, CT.
