Francis (Jay) Jankowski, Jr, 81, of Torrington, CT, passed away at, Sunday, April 21st, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of the late Barbara Gradowski Jankowski.
Francis was born in Torrington, CT on August 31, 1937, a son of the late Lucy and Frank Jankowski. and was a graduate of Torrington High. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a cryptographer.
He worked as a Trust Vice President at Bank of Boston and later an investment trader for Olson Mobeck Investors. He was an avid UCONN Baskeball fan and Yankee Baseball fan.
He is survived by his daughter Kathryn Jankowski and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a son Matthew, and a sister Angela.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 26th at Saint Francis Church in Torrington, with burial following at New Saint Francis Cemetery
