Elaine (Vurpillot) Burke

 Elaine Burke, 85, of Wethersfield, formerly of Torrington passed away Friday, January 3rd, at Hartford Hospital.  She was the wife of the late James Burke.  
Elaine was born in Torrington, CT on September 8, 1934, a daughter of the late Martha (Robinson) and Louie  Vurpillot,  and had had worked as an office worker.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed UCONN Sports,  and was a caregiver to all.
She is survived by her daughters Teri E. Fuller and Kathi L. Fuller,  cousins Bernard and Kurt Robinson and Linda Staebler.  She also leaves in laws Norma Thomsen and Victor Burke and his wife Ginger.

 Funeral  Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7th at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, with burial at Hillside Cemetery.  Friends may call prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 PM.
