Dorothy (Arnold) Martinkus

Dorothy Martinkus, 94, of Torrington, CT, passed away Wednesday, February 14th, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late Theodore Martinkus.

Dorothy was born in Torrington, CT on April 29, 1923, a daughter of the late Anna (Hall) and Edward Arnold.

She worked at The Torrington Co for over 41 years.

One of 15 siblings she is survived by sisters Bernice Kibbe and Elizabeth Ruzbasan and husband Edward and sisters in law Marilyn Arnold and Jean Arnold, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Edward, Robert, Francis, William, Frederick, Timothy, Franklin, John,  Henry,  and Richard Arnold and sisters Eleanor Bolle and Alicia Holden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Monday, February 19th at Saint Francis Church in Torrington. Burial will be at private at Saint Francis Cemetery Friends may call prior to the Mass 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Phalen Funeral Home . Memorial Contributions can be made to Saint John Paul the Great Parish 160 Main St Torrington CT 06790. The family wishes to thank the staff at Valerie Manor for their care and compassion.
