Derek Thaddeus Chambers, 46, of Harwinton, CT, passed away quietly, Tuesday, December 18th at his home.
Derek was born in Torrington, CT May 25, 1972 to Warren Chambers and the late Gail (Baj) Kitchen.
A 1990 graduate of Torrington High School, he worked 17 years as a CNC machinist for the
Torrington Company as well as various other jobs through the years. His pastimes included hiking, reading,
fishing and writing short stories and poetry. An avid music buff, Derek enjoyed listening to several genres but always loved Led Zeppelin the most. Derek appreciated literal, dark, witty humor and was fascinated by history
and psychology.
He is survived by his father Warren Chambers and step mother Pamela of New Hartford, sister Kim Winzler
and her husband Mark of Goshen, an aunt Sharon Wilson of West Virginia and uncle Alan Chambers of
New York as well as several cousins. He also leaves behind his best friend and ever faithful lab, Fletcher.
Derek was predeceased by his mother Gail, aunt Theodora Baj of West Virginia as well as his
beloved Golden Retriever, Moon.
