Gerald Durant Obituary

Gerald Dalton Durant, 77, of Winsted, passed away March 26, 2024, at his home. Born November 15, 1946, in Winsted Ct, son of the late Albert and Sarah Morgan Durant, he served in the United States Air Force. He graduated from the University of Connecticut and was an avid fan of men's and women's basketball teams. Gerald retired from the State of Connecticut after 25 years. He was a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge 844 of Winsted. His favorite pastime was enjoying his four dogs. Predeceased by a brother Albert "Sonny" Durant, he leaves a brother, Morgan Durant of Tucson AZ, nieces Dana Wild of Agawam MA, Donna Durant of Southwick MA, Robin Rood of Barkhamsted CT, Deborah Durant of Arlington VA, and nephews Christopher Durant of Troy NY, Jonathon Durant of Colebrook CT, and Richard Ransford of Hudson FL.
