Ann M (Murphy) Chinatti

Ann Murphy Chinatti, age 91, of Torrington, passed away at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital on March 11, 2024.

She was the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Mannion) Murphy.  Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Julian. She is survived by four daughters and one son: Susan (W. Duston) Lowell, Peggy (Rick) Morgan, Sally Chinatti, Nancy (Greg) Zanderigo, and Stephen (Lisa) Chinatti. She leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Ann was born in Torrington and attended local schools. She was trained and worked as a medical laboratory technician at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for many years. Being a devout Catholic led to her involvement in St Francis of Assisi parish. Ann loved her large extended family and gatherings at West Hill Lake. Some of her interests were swimming, kayaking, knitting and reading. In retirement, Ann and Julian spent winters in Florida and summers at West Hill Lake.

The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, March 23,2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington, CT .Friends may call from 9-10 A M at Phalen Funeral Home
