Sylvia (Rosario) Mendoza

Sylvia Mendoza, 53, of Torrington, CT passed away Wednesday May 17th at Hartford Hospital. She was the wife of Lelis Mendoza.

Sylvia was born in New York, NY on May 8, 1964, a daughter of the late Santos (Maisonet) and Guillermo Rosario.

She worked as a Receptionist at Community Health and Wellness in Torrington, and had also worked for Dr Joseph Curi for many years.

She was a loving and spiritual wife who enjoyed volunteer work.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a son Emilio Mendoza of Torrington and brothers Oscar and Edwin Rosario of New York.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 22nd at Saint Peter Church in Torrington, with burial following at Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn NY.
