Sandra Lynn Harss

Sandra Lynn Harss, 62, passed away on April 19th after a long, courageous battle against cancer. Born in New Britain, CT, Sandi spent most of her life as an educator in many capacities, including specializing in ESL. She held two Master's Degrees, Education and Media Specialist, and she was last employed as a Media Specialist at Bristow Middle School in West Hartford. Sandi had a great love of literature and actively enjoyed outdoor activities such as hiking, cross-country skiing, and gardening.Sandi was the beloved wife of Ronald (Robi) Robichaud and the daughter of Norma Harss and the late Harry Harss. She is survived by sisters Susan (Harss) Szymanski and Diane (Harss) Vogt; sons James Covaleski and Daniel Covaleski; grandchildren Jacob Covaleski and Julia Covaleski; as well as several extended family members and friends.

A service will be held Tuesday, April 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the Phalen Funeral Home, 285 Migeon Avenue in Torrington. There will not be calling hours. Burial will immediately follow the service and will be held at Riverside Cemetery, River Road in Pleasant Valley.
