Lina L: (DaRoss) DeMichiel

Lina Laura (DaRoss) DeMichiel, 96, of Burlington, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family after a long illness.  She was born in Litchfield, May 6, 1921 to Anthony and Teresa (Cittolini) DaRoss.  She was the beloved wife of Gene W. DeMichiel for 39 years.  She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Paula DeMichiel and her four beautiful grandchildren:  Kristina, Julianna, Anthony and Daniel; a brother, Silvio DaRoss of Farmington, CT; and several close nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by 3 brothers (Freddie, Kiel, and Flav) and one very dear sister (Alice).  She worked for most of her life sewing at Torrington Distributors.  Calling hours will be from 9:30-10:30 am on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Phalen Funeral Home at 285 Migeon Avenue in Torrington.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Patrick’s Church, 7 Burlington Avenue in Collinsville, CT at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Torrington.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at Vitas for the kindness and compassion especially Michele.  www.phalenfuneral.com
