Karlis Duksis

 Karlis Duksis, 93, of  Torrington, CT, passed away  Sunday, April 17th, at his home.  He was the husband of Renate Vetter Duksis.  Born in Latvia the second oldest of 15 children  he was a long time Torrington resident,  and was employed as a machinist at The Torrington Company,  retiring in 1985.  He was a family man who enjoyed his children and grandchildren,  and was an avid UCONN Basketball fan,  and nature lover.
In addition to his wife,  he leaves a son Karlis  Duksis and wife Michele and their children Melissa and Justin, two daughters,  Renate Duksis-Vetter and children Kristin, Lauren, and Megan Lovallo; and Margita Stone and husband Curt and their children  Harry, Lindsay, and Benjamin.
Funeral Services will be held  at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 837 Charles St Torrington CT, at Noon on Wednesday, April 20th,  with burial following at Hillside Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions can be made to Saint Paul's Lutheran Church 837 Charles St Torrington CT 06790.  online memorials- www.phalenfuneral.com
