Josephine (Johnson) Butts

Josephine Johnson Butts, 90, of North Canaan, CT passed away Saturday, February 11th, at Geer Memorial.

Jo was born in Litchfield on September 26, 1926, a daughter of George and Flora Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Reginald W. Butts of Goshen.

She enjoyed a full life filled with countless hours of bird watching and enjoying her various pets. Summer vacations at Willoughby Lake VT with her family and friends were her dearest and most treasured memories.

Josephine is survived by a son Lawrence R. Butts and wife Virginia of Newark VT and a daughter, Judith Ann Sturgess and husband Lawrence of Ashley Falls MA and grandson Matthew L. Butts of Torrington and great granddaughter Ava Elizabeth Butts of Thomaston. She aslo leaves four loving nieces, Janet Stoddard of Bantam, , Carolyn Butts of Bristol, Judith Hammer of Washington, and Lois Pinney of Washington Depot, several great nieces and nephews.
