Henry J Dickinson Jr

Henry J. "Hank" Dickinson, Jr, 80, of Torrington, passed away Sunday,June 26th, at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of 59 years to Virginia Cattey Dickinson.. Henry was born in Torrington, CT on September 23, 1935, of the late Catherine (Wisniewski) and Henry J Dickinson, Sr., and he served in The US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a long time employee of the E.J. Kelley Company, in Torrington, and finished his driving career with Charter Oak Container Company. After retirement, he became an important part of his son Walter's business, Bill's Service Station in Torrington. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a member of The Veneta Society.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Rose Bristol and husband Steven, two sons, Walter and wife Christine Dickinson and their children Adam and Mahaila; John Dickinson and his fiancé and his children Colin, Kayleigh, and Braden. He was predeceased by a son Henry J Dickinson III, and is survived by his daughter Angel Dickinson. He also leaves great grandchildren Brooklynn Dickinson and Merritt Dickinson-Rice, and six sisters, Barbara Moismann, Mary Ann Tucker, Virginia Pelletier, Nancy Cronin, Martha Dickinson, and Peggy Hart, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 6th at Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave Torrington. Friends may call prior to the service from 4-6 PM. www.phalenfuneral.com
