Gladys E (Heacox) Barella

Gladys E Barella, 80, of Torrington, CT, passed away Wednesday, August 23rd, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late Ernest Barella.

Gladys was born in Winsted CT on July 18, 1937, a daughter of the late Gladys (Strever) and Philip Heacox. She was a retired Inspector for the Torrington Company. She, along with her husband were antique car enthusiasts, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, playing cards and bingo. She spent several years in Florida after her retirement before returning to this area.

She is survived by daughters Sheree Rossi and husband Ernest of Harwinton, Cindie St. George and husband Bill of Londonderry VT, and Pamela Brimmer and husband Barry of Torrington, grandchildren Ernest and wife Chelsea Rossi, Michele and husband Ernie Savage, Marie and husband Jason Tabachnick, Liam, Kyle, and Keith Brimmer, and Donald Miller-Zucco, as well as 5 great grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Ruth Tedesco. She was predeceased by a son Donald Miller III,  brother William Heacox and sister Helen Humphrey.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday Aug. 26, 10:00 AM at Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave Torrington with burial following at Hillside Cemetery.
